Sisko was born from a repeat mating of Smuu and Tuukka, after the tragic loss of Kallis who we'd kept from the first mating.
Sisko is such a lovely dog, easy to train and eager to please, she loves dogs and humans alike. Showing her is an absolute joy as she steams around the ring on a loose lead, her movement is just beautiful and she loves every second of it; this really is a dog who could do a day's work. Independent, she will quite happily spend the day snoozing in the study until she thinks there's food on the go or a walk! In the evenings she becomes really cuddly until she's had enough and then she's back in the study. Sisko has done very well in the show ring, taking after her sire Tuukka by winning Best of Breed at Crufts 2012 under Pearl Chetwynd (Curdeleon). In September 2011 she won the Reserve CC at Richmond Championship Show, sadly there was only one ticket on offer. Since becoming a Veteran, Sisko has won multiple Best Veteran Awards at both Champ and Open Shows.

Sisko Wins Reserve Best Bitch under Finnish Judge Reino Korpela at Southern Counties Championship Show, June 2013 - aged 9.

Sisko Wins Runner-Up Finnish Lapphund of the Year 2012

This event was organised by the Southern Finnish Lapphund Society who invited all dogs & bitches who were awarded Best of Sex or Reserve Best of Sex at a Championship Show in 2012. The final took the form of a 'knockout match' on May 25th 2013 & was judged by Patsy Hollings. I was thrilled when Sisko got through to the final. The deserved winner was Multi Ch Elbereth Matka owned by Phillip Jackson, handled on the day by Sam Moore. To read more about the event, click here. This is what Patsy had to say about Sisko : Runner up was Mowatt’s, bitch Tabanyaruu Sisko. Excellent forehand, giving smooth lines of neck through topline. Correct leg to length ratio with bone and straight fore legs. Lovely to go over under her profuse coat. Perhaps not quite the head proportions of the winner, but her quality and performance could not be denied.
