Otto qualifies for Crufts at his very first Champ Show, aged 8 months, when he came second in Puppy Dog under Breed Specialist Pat Patch. Well done Lucie!
Back in March when Peggy told me that she had come across Lecibsin Macca's brother in France on holiday and had arranged to use him at stud, I was intrigued and excited. Macce is the top winning Lapphund of all time - he's simply gorgeous with a fabulous temperament and has reproduced himself over and over, I've been fortunate to meet him a couple of times. He now appears in countless pedigrees and as I tend to observe the masses and do the opposite, he doesn't appear in that of any TabanyaRuu's to keep some lines Macca/Tapio free, however I always hoped to introduce his progeny at some point. Peggy planned to mate Monttu to her fabulous bitch Loona, Fidelis Kauniskorva (Imp Fin), and I was almost beside myself. The possibility of Macca quality but from a different set of genes combined with Loona's quality (she has produced some beautiful dogs) was exactly what I had been looking for, so I immediately booked a puppy! Peggy arranged for all Monttu's health tests and then the looooong wait began .... eventually the litter of two dogs and a bitch was born and Peggy confirmed that one of the little boys would be coming to the UK.
Huge 'merci' to Peggy for sharing the adventure with me from the very beginning, along with photos and videos. He sounds like a wonderful little chap and I feel so very fortunate to have him :-)

Mid November I shall be travelling to France to collect Otto from Peggy - I cannot wait! Neither can Lucie or Hayden, with whom Otto will be living not far from me in Surrey - they chose his lovely pet name. Exciting times ahead! :-D
